Williamsburg Black Pigments
Davy's Grey Deep
#1701P Davy's Grey Deep
PBlk19
A pure slate color.  Not a mix like some.  Darker than its traditional shade, with a pronounced cool undertone.  Makes great greys with a slight hint of greenish raw umber in its undertone.  Beautiful in washes.

Graphite Grey
#1702P Graphite Grey
PBlk7
Graphite ground in linseed oil. It retains the slight metallic, iridescent quality of graphite. Great for wash drawing on primed paper.

Ivory Black
#1721P Ivory Black
PBlk7
Cool black. Often used as a standard. Slight grit gives a velvet surface.

Lamp Black
#1761P Lamp Black
PBlk7
Very course and gritty. Has an interesting surface quality. Extremely strong and velvety.

Mars Black
#1742P Mars Black
PBlk7
Warmer, creamier, less course than Ivory Black. A distinct reddish glow.

Slate Black
#1691P Slate Black
PBlk18
Like our Davy's Grey, we make this from pure powdered slate.  A rich, warm black.  If you like our Black Roman Earth or Van Dyke Brown, then try this one.  Unlike most other blacks, this one is subtle and not over-powering or heavy.
